How to find your perfect wedding shoes
Get those wedding shoes sorted. The Nancy shoe by Rainbow Club

Looking for your dream wedding shoes? Joanne Stoker, Head of Design at Rainbow Club, answers all your wedding shoe worries and reveals what you need to know before you hit the shops…

What things do you need to consider when choosing your wedding shoes?
When choosing your wedding shoes, it’s always good to consider the right heel height for your dress, the style, ambiance and also colour. Rainbow Club is one of the only brands which gives you the opportunity to have your shoes dyed in any colour of your choice. If you have a particular colour theme for your flowers or big day, it's an added highlight to have your shoes to match.

I want to wear my shoes more than once – what should I consider?
If you want to wear your shoes for other special occasions you will have to consider if your chosen pair are bridal specific or will also work with other outfits, not just a wedding dress! If you purchase your shoes from Rainbow Club, their in-house Colour Studio will hand-dye your shoes after your big day to any colour of your choice to ensure you can get the most out of them.

Do I need to spend a lot on my wedding shoes?
I would allow a reasonable budget for your wedding shoes, after all those shoes will be part of your special memories, and they will need to carry you elegantly down the aisle with both style and comfort.

What heel-height is best for brides?
Anything 10cm or lower is what I’d advise – unless it's a platform heel. However, it is important that you don’t feel uncomfortable (you’ll be wearing them all day). Choose a heel height which you usually would wear: there's a wide-range of heel heights for every bride in the Rainbow Club collection.

I’m not used to wearing heels, what should I do?
If you’re not a heel lady then I would suggest trying a lower block heel which gives you both a little height and support.

I want to wear skyscraper heels – should I?
Ensure they are sturdy, walk-able, wearable and comfortable enough to wear all day. Practice walking in them prior to your wedding and always consider the height of your other half.

Any tips for breaking in wedding heels?
Wear your shoes with a pair of thick socks and then put the hairdryer on them to soften the materials and linings. This has always worked for me! Don't hold the hairdryer to close however just in case you burn them (or yourself!).
