New bridal beauty products: Rachel’s top September picks

Our Junior Writer (and self-confessed beauty addict), Rachel, reveals what’s new in her beauty bag this month

Bridal beauty products
This month I trial a bareMinerals foundation, a Gosh eyeshadow palette and a Swiss Clinic derma roller

Keeping up-to-date with the latest beauty trends is essential when it comes to putting together the beauty pages in the UK’s best-selling monthly bridal magazine (and it’s a job I take very seriously).

Each month I test brand new beauty products to find you the best ones for your bridal beauty bag. On the testing table this month we have a new foundation from bareMinerals, an amazing eyeshadow palette from GOSH and a revolutionary derma roller from Swiss Clinic.

BAREPRO performance wear liquid foundation SPF 20, bareMinerals £29
When I think about bareMinerals, I think about a brand that’s kind to skin with its breathable powder foundations – what I don’t think of is liquid foundation and flawless coverage, but I was pleasantly surprised with their newest addition – the BAREPRO foundation.

The formula feels like silk on my skin and evens out my patchy complexion in seconds. I was really impressed with the staying power too – my face still looked presentable after a busy day running around London. If you want a wedding day foundation that looks natural and goes the distance – this is the one!

‘To party in London’ palette, GOSH £11.99
Finding an eyeshadow palette where you actually like every single shade is nigh on impossible, right? Wrong! GOSH have come up trumps with this amazing set, which includes gorgeous neutrals and a few statement hues.

The powders are buildable for intense colour and they lasted just as well as my more expensive eyeshadows. Very impressive! As well as being great quality, the handy-sized palette is perfect for in your bridal clutch or in your honeymoon carry on (double win).

Skin Renewal Treatment, Swiss Clinic £84
I’ve heard a lot about derma rollers lately, and with promises of tightened pores, reduced lines and smoother skin, I was very keen to give one a go for myself! Rolling needles (albeit tiny ones) across your face does seem rather scary at first and you can feel a tingling sensation as they prick the skin, but I was reassured by all the amazing reviews this Swiss Clinic one has had.

The Skin Renewal Treatment from Swiss Clinic comes with a roller and specialist Rejuvenating Serum – the product is turbo-charged with wrinkle-busting ingredients and used along with the roller, 300% more product is absorbed! I used the duo for five days straight and my skin texture was noticeably better and my forehead lines much less prominent. I'll be giving my skin a break for a week and then I'll be back on the rolling (it's so addictive).
