Being a bridesmaid is loads of fun, but at times it can also feel like a bit of a drag - especially if the bride-to-be is particularly demanding. So brides, listen up! Here's how you’re already annoying your maids…
1. By constantly talking about your wedding
Yes, two hours is too long to be complaining about your bouquet colours. Try asking your girls what’s going on with them and talk about things beside your mother-in-law issues.

2. By not asking them what they want to wear
It might be your big day, but it’s nice if you take your bridesmaids preferences into consideration when choosing their gowns. You want them to feel comfortable after all.
3. By expecting an incredible hen party

4. By giving them too much wedding DIY to do
Your bridesmaids want to help make your big day amazing, but asking them to create 1,000 origami cranes might be a bit much (they have a life too).
Ask them how much time they can spare and always reward them with a glass of wine (or two).
5. By dragging them along to too many dress fittings
Your girls want to help you with finding your wedding dress, but be mindful of how many weekends your dress hunt is taking up and if your girls are having to travel a long way to be there with you while you dash around boutiques.

7. By demanding they pay for their dress, shoes, accessories, hair and make-up
It’s becoming more and more common for bridesmaids to pay their way, but be considerate about what your girls can afford.
If you’re asking your girls to pay for their gowns, only go for lower-cost dresses and give them the option to do their own hair and make-up so they don’t have to fork out for the experts.

8. By giving them too much to do on the day
Your girls expect to have some less-pleasant jobs on your wedding day (hello, bridal toilet duty), but if they have too much on they won’t be able to celebrate with you. You’ve asked them to be your bridesmaid because you love them so let them enjoy the big day with you.
