Could we be any more excited? Another royal wedding is on the cards! On the 27th November, Clarence House announced that Prince Harry is engaged to Suits actress, Meghan Markle!

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, have been dating since last summer and have been spotted together at many public occasions including the Invictus Games and Pippa Middleton’s wedding in June.

The official palace Instagram account @kensingtonroyal shared this gorgeous photo of the pair, along with this lovely caption: "His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle are engaged to be married. The Prince of Wales made this announcement this morning: His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle."

The Prince is a traditionalist (obvs) and "sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle's parents" before proposing - bless.

The couple also attended a photocall, outside Kensington Palace where Meghan showed off her gorgeous diamond engagement ring. Kensington Palace have confirmed that the Prince designed the ring himself and it features a gold band and two diamonds which belonged to his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. The centre diamond is from Botswana, where the couple have spent time together over the last year and a half.

The pair looked absolutely smitten, and when asked by reporters when he knew Meghan "was the one",  Harry replied: "The very first time we met" (seriously, could he be any cuter).

In a statement from the Palace, the pair later revealed that they will be getting married on the 19th May 2018 - mark your diaries people!

The venue has also already been sorted! The wedding will take place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, which is a “slightly smaller venue” than Westminster Abbey (gutted), where Kate Middleton and Prince William were married back in April 2011.

The couple are enjoying that just-engaged feeling and said they are “extremely grateful for the warm response” to the news of their engagement, and are “delighted that the beautiful grounds of Windsor Castle are where they will start their married life.” The pair have also confirmed that Meghan will officially become a British citizen and she is expected to take the title of Duchess.

Speculation about the engagement has been rife ever since Meghan popped over to Buckingham Palace last month to meet the Queen for tea and scones (we imagine). Harry and Megs will live together in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace.

The announcement comes just after the Queen and Prince Philip celebrated their 70 year wedding anniversary last week.
