It is essential that you have a lingerie fitting to ensure that you will be supported all day long — pop into your local department store or bra shop and ask a sales assistant for a proper fitting!

Buy in advance

You need to wear your chosen underwear for your wedding dress fittings, as different bras and basques can position your curves in different ways.

Basques give fantastic smooth lines under dresses, and because they are boned, also provide ultimate support. Not suitable for weddings in very hot weather though, as the combined layers of a basque and your dress will be warm!
