Oats contain soluble fibre which attracts water and is important for digestive help. Plus, nothing sets you up for the day like a bowl of porridge. Pop some plain oats on the stove with water and a pinch of salt and leave simmering for at least 15 minutes to get it nice and creamy.

4. Leafy greens
Prepare to load up on spinach, kale and broccoli – they are packed with essential vitamins and fibre to help your abs get nice and sculpted. If you hate green veg try chopping it finely and hiding it in sauces and juices.

It doesn’t matter if you choose soya beans, chickpeas, black and kidney beans, they are all low in fat and packed with protein, fibre and iron – great for losing weight and building up those abs.
Berries are packed full of vitamin C, but most importantly these sweet little beauties help quell those sugary cravings. Enjoy with plain yoghurt, on your porridge or a handful on their own.
