You need to get your group wedding photos done, but you don’t want to leave your guests feeling abandoned and bored. Here are some clever ways to keep them entertained until you’re ready to come back and join the party.

Drinks and snacks
Whatever you do, don’t leave your guests without a drink or nibble in hand! After the ceremony, everyone will be in need of refreshment, so make sure you have alcoholic and non-alcoholic options and a few canapés going around to avoid grumbles.

Lawn games
If your venue has some outdoor space, set up some cute lawn games to get guests mingling and enjoying the sunshine. Giant Jenga, croquet and boules are all guaranteed to keep everyone happy. If you’re feeling really ambitious you could even set up your own mini fête with a coconut shy, welly wanging and hook-a-duck.

Keep warm
If the weather looks a bit dicey, make sure your guests have somewhere warm to go. Group photos usually take around 30 minutes, but can go on longer depending on how many you’re having. That’s a long time to be stood around in the cold!

Mingling music
It’s probably a bit too early in the day for a full band and dance floor, but a bit of mingling music is perfect. A mariachi or oompah band will interact with the crowd and get the fun started.
