Ok, many men wear a suit and tie to work but you may want to do something special for your big day. Neck ties generally come in two sizes – standard and skinny. The trendy skinny tie looks best in the simple four-in-hand knot (the one you remember from school) however for a standard tie you should go for a Windsor knot.  Pair with a fitted shirt and slim-fit suit for a clean, modern groom look.

Thanks to Matt Smith bow ties are once again cool. We love the quirky floral print  ones for a vintage wedding, but you can also go for plain black plus  dinner jacket for full on James Bond.

The cravat is the classic groom accessory– traditionally worn with a morning suit this little beauty also looks great with a three-piece (if top hat and tails aren’t your thing).

Now this may seem ridiculously simple but with last minute calls from late gusts and on-the-day nerves it isn’t surprisingly how many grooms get flustered with this one! Learn how to pin your buttonhole (or boutonnière if you’re using the fancy name) now!
