Want to know what your grooms is really dreading about that wedding planning ‘to do’ list? Here are the things he really hated about wedmin...

Ross McCabe married Cheryl at The Chapel in Nashville on 5th April 2017, with a party at Ryecroft Hall in Manchester
What I loved: “As we got married in the US, it was my job to find all the sensational places we stayed, including a luxury apartment in Nashville, a tree house in Memphis, a French-style retreat in New Orleans and a beachfront getaway in Panama City Beach.”
What I loathed: “Organising the wedding party back in Manchester was stressful – particularly the guest list. All worthwhile though, just to see my stunning bride in that dress again; she was definitely the star of the show!”

Joe Miller married Caroline on 21st May 2016 at Walcot Hall, Shropshire
What I loved: “We wanted to have a big, informal party and I honestly found most aspects of the planning really fun. Caroline and I divided up jobs and we made a good team.”
What I loathed: “Worrying about the weather! We wanted to have an outdoor ceremony and I spent most of the week leading up to the day checking every forecast I could find. It did rain in the end but it didn’t spoil the wedding at all.”

Dave Brooks married Lizzy on 3rd July 2016 at Kingscote Barn, Gloucestershire
What I loved: “Tasting sessions with the caterers – they really pulled out all the stops! Make sure you also see photos of their meals from previous weddings; sometimes the taster meals look far better than what they make hundreds of on the day.”
What I loathed: “The hardest thing was planning to make the most of an English summer’s day, while in the back of your mind worrying you’ll get a washout.”

Ste Hudson married Emma on 2nd August 2014 at Thrumpton Hall, Nottinghamshire
What I loved: “I had a lot of fun making surprise video messages for Emma on the wedding morning! I also loved the personal touches, like Emma getting her class to draw pictures of all guests for the place names and favours.”
What I loathed: “All the superficial stuff you stress about – you end up resenting yourself for worrying that the ushers’ ties might not exactly match the colour of the ribbons!”

Robin Bleakley married Katie on 22nd August 2015 at Cambridge Cottage, Kew Gardens
What I loved: “We had a road trip to Cornwall (where I’m from) to taste pasties for our evening snack and pick up the fizz. We totally over ordered, and filled the boot – it was worth more than our old, battered Clio!”
What I loathed: “Things we didn’t have control over – the best man’s suit got sent to the wrong address, the stationery had typos and working out a menu to cater for every dietary requirement (we had them all!) was tricky.”
