Like the idea of taking a short break after your wedding and saving up for you big honeymoon? You're not the only one! More and more couples are taking a small minimoon and then taking their time planning their big trip. Here are 13 good reasons to take a minimoon...

1. You get to have your cake and eat it. After all, who doesn't want two holidays instead of one?

2. After all the money you spent on a wedding, it gives you more time to save up for a bigger holiday later in the year.

3. You can focus on one thing at a time. Who wants the stress of planning itineraries when you're arguing over table plans?

4. Given that minimoons are usually closer to home, it cuts the time of travel. You'll be really tired after planning a wedding after all.

5. Speaking of planning, it gives you something new to organise after the big day - in case you have spreadsheet withdrawal symptoms.
