Think Thailand is just for backpackers? Think again! With its picture-perfect beaches, amazing weather and the latest crop of luxurious resorts, Thailand is a perfect choice for an indulgent honeymoon you’ll never forget.

We headed to Phuket to check out Kata Rocks, the newest luxury resort on the block, and fell in love. After being greeted by the friendliest staff (it may be a cliché but it’s so true what they say about Thailand being the Land of Smiles!), we were driven by private buggy through the contemporary cliff-top resort, to our Sky Villa. When it comes to the wow-factor, Kata Rocks knows exactly what it’s doing! Our villa looked like something out of a cool interior design magazine; spacious, ultra-modern and with its own private infinity pool that seems to merge into the horizon, it really was the stuff of dreams. Watching the sun set from our terrace, with a crisp glass of white wine, we were already trying to work out how we could move in...!

If you can drag yourselves away from your villa, Kata Rocks has loads to offer. We blissed out with heavenly massages at the incredible on-site spa (and then recharged with fresh coconut milk and cookies – amazing!). But it was the oceanfront bar and restaurant that really blew us away. Dining by candlelight on the freshest seafood, overlooking the Andaman Sea, it doesn’t really get any more romantic than this! Style, impeccable service and true luxury, Kata Rocks has it nailed.

Book it: One night in a one-bed Sky Villa (which includes a 7m private infinity pool) starts at £520. To book call 020 3735 5033 or visit chiccollection.com
