Enjoy your wedding morning and avoid any big day stress by following these top tips. Perfect for arriving at the church on time!

1. Don't rush
Give yourself loads of time on your wedding morning as everything will take longer when it’s surrounded by wedding excitement! If you’re getting your hair and make-up done, book them in early and make sure you allow enough time for bridesmaids/your mum too.

2. Find a big room
Bear in mind that there will be you, your girls, maybe your mum, you make-up/hair artists and potentially a photographer milling around on your wedding morning. Make sure you’re in a room with plenty of space and find a calm area to get prepped in.

3. Lots of light
Lots of natural light is key to getting that natural, radiant bridal glow. Find a big window and set up your make-up station there.

4. The right girls
It’s tempting to invite lots of friends and family over to start the celebrations early, but things can quickly get hectic (especially with five hairdryers going and seven people fighting over one full-length mirror). Keep your best girls close by to help keep you calm and only bring in the rest at the end for lots of ‘ohhing’ and ‘ahhing’ over your finished look.

5. The right clothing
Bring a dressing gown along for your wedding morning or a shirt/hoodie. You need something you can take off without pulling over your head so you don’t ruin your hair and make-up.

6. Hang your dress
Get rid of any small creases or bunched material by taking your gown out of it’s bag and letting it hang naturally. Keep it away from the make-up and champers though!

7. Get the tunes on
Your wedding morning needs an amazing playlist. Load up your phone or iPod (or delegate this job to a bridesmaid) and blast out those wedding-themed songs.

8. Emergency kit
Pack a small emergency kit ready for any eventuality! Include bobby pins, paracetamol, stain remover, safety pins and scissors. Also cut and peel all the labels off your wedding accessories before the big day. This way you won’t ruin your nails getting stickers off your new shoes and your photographer can snap everything looking beautiful.
