There’s no doubt about it, planning a wedding takes some time (and a bit of stress). These 10 wedding planning hacks are guaranteed to make your life a whole lot easier…

1. Set up a wedding email account
You’ll blast out hundreds of emails to suppliers, vendors and shows, and as a result you’ll end up on a whole load of mailing lists. Keep everything in one place, and ensure your partner has access too by setting up your very own wedding specific account. markandsarahgetwed@gmail.com

2. Or set up a wedding website
In fact, why not go the whole hog and set up your own website. There are loads of free sites out there to help you if you’re not up on your coding (we love gettingmarried.co.uk). From your page your guests can find out all about your big day, check locations, hotels, gift list and RSVP!

3. Number RSVP cards
If you decide to go the old-fashioned route with paper RSVPs, lightly number them on the back. Sometime people forget to put their names (or their handwriting can be tricky to read) so it’s good to check them against a numbered list.

4. Facebook wedding group
If you’re a really laid-back couple, why not set-up a Facebook group instead? You can add any updates and send reminders to your guests too.

5. Save your inspiration
Why not get all your big day inspiration in one place by setting up your own Pinterest account and making a few wedding boards? If you’re more of an Instagram gal you also save posts you like the look of and later show them to your florist/hairstylist/cake maker when explaining your vision.

6. Have a sten
Stressing about planning a hen and stag do? If you’ve got the same group of friends why not bring them together for your very own relaxed party.

7. On your wedding morning, wear something that doesn’t need to be pulled over your head
Avoid having to tweak your perfect wedding hair and make-up by messing it up while getting changed. Wear a pretty robe or button-down shirt so that everything stays in place when you’re getting dressed.

8. Be organised when opening your gifts
It might not be as fun as wildly tearing opening all your gifts at once, but making a list of all your wedding presents as you open them will make writing those ‘thank you’ notes a whole lot easier. There’s nothing more cringe than thanking someone for something they didn’t get you #awks

9. Hire a planner
If all else fails – get someone else to do your planning for you! Hire a wedding planner or ask a particularly enthusiastic friend or family member to help you out – you’ll have those big day jobs done in no time!
