Don’t get us wrong – we LOVE a bit of pinning, but when it comes to wedding day planning, here are eight signs your Pinterest obsession has gone too far...

1. Your spare room is full of Mason jars. You’re not exactly sure what you’ll do with them yet, but they seem to appear in 80 per cent of your ‘Reception’ pins, so they’ve got to be good for something. You hope.

2. A quick glance at your ‘Dream Dress’ board shows 100 pins (and counting) of very, VERY different styles. So, we’re looking for a lacy, boho, strapless, simple, extravagant, long-sleeved, spaghetti-strapped, fishtail, A-line, Spanish-style, traditional English gown – yes?

11 EASY WEDDING TRENDS TO STEAL NOW

3. You’ve already had more than one sleepless night about how on earth you’re going to install a chandelier, antique rug and a sofa under the trees at your venue. It just looks so easy on Pinterest…

4. After totting it up, it looks like about 10 per cent of your budget will be spent on tealights and hurricane vases, to recreate that romantic pin of the candlelit walk from the church to your reception. Until your husband reminds you you’re getting married at 1pm. Doh.

WHAT'S THE HARDEST PART OF WEDDING PLANNING

5. Your bridesmaids have to break it to you that maybe, just maybe, you’re getting a little bit carried away on the wedding DIY front. Perhaps homemade table plans, ceremony fans, photo booth props, confetti cones, ‘for your happy tears’ tissue boxes, ‘pimp your prosecco’ bar, sparkler station AND ‘the morning after’ Bloody Mary kits is a lot to get through in just two weeks...

6. You don’t own a dog but are seriously considering borrowing one, just so it can walk down the aisle as the ring bearer. Have you seen the ‘dogs at weddings’ photos on Pinterest? Who wouldn’t want a dog after seeing those?!

7 SIGNS WEDDING PLANNING IS STRESSING YOU OUT

7. Finally you find the wedding day hairstylist of your dreams, only to almost scare the poor thing off when you show her your ‘Wedding Hair Ideas’ board. “What do you mean you can’t turn my chin-length bob into waist-length boho waves and braids?” Sob!

8. You’re secretly annoyed with your parents that you weren’t born in America. It really does make that ‘dreamy Californian vineyard at sunset’ ceremony a little trickier to achieve, sigh…
