Here are the top 10 things you really don't want to do the night before your wedding day - you have been warned...

DON’T squeeze that spot! It may be tempting to give that tiny blemish a prod but you’ll regret it when it’s swollen up to twice the size. Trust us – put on your favourite spot cream, then leave well alone.

DON’T hit the Prosecco too hard. You won’t sleep well, your skin will look puffy in the morning and you certainly don’t want to be hungover when sorting all those finishing touches!

WHAT TO DO THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

DON’T use a face mask. This is not the time to start experimenting with your skincare, we repeat NOT the time to start experimenting with skincare! Stick to your usual routine to prevent any pesky breakouts.

DON’T be a weather obsessive! Step away from the five-day forecast – nothing good will ever come of checking the weather every 10 minutes. So what if it rains? It’s still going to be the best day EVER (yes, that is a fact)!

THE WORST PIECES OF WEDDING ADVICE

DON’T attempt any radical new beauty treatments. Tonight is not the night to get tweezer happy with your eyebrows or give yourself a DIY fringe trim. Just think of the photos...

DON’T freak out about any last-minute drop-outs. It sucks but it does happen. Your venue and caterers will sort out the logistics and chances are no one else will notice table three has one less person on it than table four. Believe us.

10 WEDDING TASKS YOU CAN'T PUT OFF

DON’T try on your dress. It’ll make it all the more special on the day and you just know you’ll spill that glass of red on it! Step away from the gown...

DON’T panic! Let go of all those teeny little details that are niggling you – you’re getting married and that’s all that matters.

ALTERNATIVES TO THE TOP TABLE

DON’T watch Bridesmaids, Bride Wars or My Best Friend’s Wedding. Yes, it all works out fine in the end but do you really need to re-live the stresses just before your big day?!

DON’T read any more wedding mags – yes, even us! Our work is done now, so go off and enjoy the best day of your life
