Want wedding dress shopping to be stress-free? It’s time to select the perfect bridal boutique crew! Top tip: leave these five people at home to ensure you find your dream wedding dress.

1. Your little niece
She might be your flower girl, but after 15 minutes, she’ll be running around the shop wiping chocolatey fingers over white gowns and using the veil you’re trying on as a tissue.

2. The mate that’s always late
Bridal boutique’s usually run a pretty tight schedule (particularly on Saturdays) as they have lots of brides to squeeze in. If your shopping companions are late don’t expect them the boutique to hold your appointment for you.

3. Your whole hen party
You love your squad, but too may opinions equals a whole lot of confusion. Narrow your shopping party down into two or three friends who you trust to be honest (but kind!).

4. Your traditional MIL
If his mum’ idea of the perfect wedding dress is stuck somewhere in the eighties (think a high ruffled neckline and puffball sleeves), then she’s perhaps not the best person to invite along.

Brief all of your shoppers on what you’re looking for and make sure they are on the same page as you are before hitting the boutiques.

It might be his opinion that matters the most when you’re wedding dress shopping, but do you really want to ruin the surprise?
