Nobody puts Baby in the corner.

If you’re a newly-engaged couple, love will most definitely be in the air for you. And what better way to revel in the romance than a recap of some of our favourite heartfelt declarations of love from film and television. We dare you not to feel all mushy by the end of it.

Bridget Jones’ Diary

The scene between everyone’s favourite singleton and Mark Darcy, where he first admits his love for Bridget is simply heart-melting, making it ok for women over the world to recognise their flaws.
Memorable line: “I like you. Just as you are.

The Simpsons

Our favourite animated couple have provided us with many romantic moments over the times, but this particular scene, which features in an episode showing the story of how Marge and Homer got engaged, in which Homer proposes using an onion ring is particularly poignant.
Memorable line: “Any ring is fine as long as it’s from you.” “Marge, pour vous.

Notting Hill

The moving scene where Anna, played by the rom-com genre's fave actress, Julia Roberts, puts herself out there to William is possibly one of our favourite romantic movie moments EVER. Where are the tissues?!
Memorable line: "I'm also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her."

10 Things I Hate About You

I mean, who didn't cry when Julia Stiles' character read her poem about falling in love with Patrick (Heath Ledger) to the entire class. Oh, and lets not forget the famous rendition of Can't Take My Eyes Off You setting the 'best ways to apologise' bar high for men all over the world.
Memorable line: "But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you, not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all."

Don't pretend you weren't screaming "DID SHE GET OFF THE PLANE?!" at the TV - we were all rooting for a happy ending with Ross and Rachel, and luckily it came through.
Memorable line: "I got off the plane."

But let's not forget the equally adorable moment when Monica and Chandler first admit their love for each other. Turkey head and all.
Memorable line: "You love me!"

The Notebook

Is there really an explanation needed? Noah and Allie gave us serious relationship goals.
Memorable lines: "If you're a bird, I'm a bird." and "It's not over. It still isn't over!"

The O.C

The table-top declaration of love to Summer in front of the whole school made us melt inside a little bit. And so started our obsession with Seth Cohen.
Memorable line: "Yeah, that's right. I'm a big dork and I listen to emo. And I'm dating her."

Beauty and the Beast

Don't be ashamed to admit you shed a tear or two when you thought the Beast had died.
Memorable line: "Please don't leave me. I love you."

Our favourite Indie flick had a few tear-jerking moments, with this particular scene between Juno and Bleeker, where they finally admit their feelings, topping them all.
Memorable line: "I think I'm in love with you."

Dawson’s Creek

Whether you were team Dawson or team Pacey, this scene in the last-ever episode of the classic '90s teen drama where Joey Potter finally makes up her mind had us weak at the knees.
Memorable line: "You know what, for the record, I don't want to be let off the hook. Because everything I have done has led me here, right now, and the last thing I want is to be let off somebody's hook."

Lena Dunham's witty New York drama had us all reaching for the tissues with Adam and Hannah's very real depiction of the difficulties of entering into a new relationship with someone.
Memorable line: "You love yourself so much, so why is it so crazy that someone else would too?"

Dirty Dancing

We all love a bad boy who actually turns out to be pretty good, and the story of Johnny and Baby's summer fling had us all booking hopeful holidays in Butlins.
Memorable line: "Most of all I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling, the rest of my whole life, the way I feel when I'm with you."
