London-based couple Kirsty and Stephen knew they wanted to hold their autumn wedding somewhere a bit different, and Loch Goil in Scotland seemed like the perfect location for a romantic, isolated celebration!

As soon as the couple came across The Lodge, they were sold! "We wanted a small wedding and both love Scotland," explains Kirsty. "I found our venue when looking for small, boutique venues, and just knew it was the place!" "It's one of the only tree houses in the world where you can get married, right on the shore of Loch Goil."

"We held our wedding breakfast in the 5-star lodge built in 1864, which is adjacent to the tree house," explains Kirsty. The couple only had 12 guests to their wedding, allowing them to hold an intimate personal day that was all about them.

As Kirsty and Stephen were having such a small celebration they didn't decide on a specific theme, instead decorating their venue with local Scottish flowers and homespun details.

The table displays were made up of glasses of Scottish-themed flowers and thistles, tying in perfect with the tartan tablecloths!

Kirsty's elegant strapless dress was by Alfred Angelo, which she bought from the Romantic Fashion Design Gallery in London. "After trying on hundreds of dresses, I never really found anything I liked within budget," she says. "When I saw this dress, I could just see myself in it!"

Kirsty's bridesmaids wore chic tea-length teal dresses from Coast, which worked beautifully with the soft pink bouquets they carried.
