Alterations advice

Alterations advice

Postby BlushingBride2012 » Sat Jan 14, 2012 10:26 pm

I'm getting married on the 9th June 2012 and have bought my dress from a sample sale but think I will need a corset back put in as although I'm losing weight I'm quite busty and don't want to take the chance that it doesn't fit and I run out of time to have it altered.

I'm trying to find somewhere reliable in London that will be able to do a good job at a reasonable price.

I actually have another wedding dress that I bought on eBay (engagement excitement got to me very early!) and I will not wear but that has a corset back that I assume could be taken out and put into the dress that I am wearing!

If you have any advice or any recommendations I would be most grateful!

I don't know of anywhere specifically, but any bridal boutique should be able to do it for you, even if you didn't buy the dress there (lots of them have specialist tailors they use rather than in-house ones). Good luck! x

Hiya,

Thanks for the advice, I hadn't even thought about asking a bridal store as I presumed they would only help their own customers. I will see if any where near me offers that service!
