To diet or to alter dress??

To diet or to alter dress??

Postby BlushingBride2012 » Sat Jan 14, 2012 7:44 pm

I bought my dress in 2011 and it is slightly too small for me in the upper body (it is an Alfred Angelo Princess Style).

I am on a healthy eating plan and have lost half stone so far but am now questioning weather I should have a corset back put in anyway ( it is zip currently) in case I don't fit it. Also I am concerned about time frames as W-Day is June 9th and If I need alteration I should do it sooner than later!

What do you think??
Can anyone recommend a good alterations specialist in London and what are the average costs for this type of service??

Many thanks.

Hi ya Blushing Bride 2012!
Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding, we share the same day!
I too have an Alfred Angelo dress, again with the zip, I got my dress last September, and only needed to loose about half inch across my back, so not to bad for me!

I havent dieted really just been going to the gym, obviously we only have 4 saturdays left so probably not worth gyming now!

What did you decided I love the idea of having a corset back on the dress, just think of the lovely photo opportunities, I wish you all the best and have a brilliant day! Just remember to take 10 minutes at some point after your ceremony with your new hubby to sit and observe whats going on around you. The day will fly by so quickly!

I am renewing my wedding vows with my husband, after 25 years together!

GOOD LUCK
