Official proof that all mums are absolute wedding planning legends!

A new survey by clothing retailer, JD Williams, has revealed the mother of the bride spends more time planning the wedding than the groom.

Yep, believe it or not, your mum will spend an average of 50 hours helping you plan your big day compared to the average groom who spends 33 hours planning (that’s right, his own wedding day).

6 THINGS NOT TO SAY TO YOUR MOTHER IN LAW

The survey quizzed 1,145 UK brides on the amount of time invested in planning the wedding by the happy couple, and found that the fellas really need to pick their game up.

They weren’t even in second place – the mother of the groom followed closely behind the mother of the bride spending 46 hours helping to plan their son’s wedding.

The survey also asked brides who was paying for their big day, and surprisingly they revealed the tradition of the bride’s parents footing the bill, is still very much alive. On average, the groom’s parents contributed £5,766 to the wedding budget while the bride’s family offered £12,822 to help fund the big day.

What do you think? Is your mum a superstar and does your groom need to pull his finger out?
