Daisy and Ben knew from the outset that they wanted a spring wedding. "It's a must for a traditional English affair!" says Daisy. "We set the date for April 9th; it's the day after Ben's birthday so he'll never have an excuse for missing our anniversary!"

After holding their ceremony at the St Gervase and St Protase Church near Norwich, the couple held their reception in a marquee in the grounds of Ben's godmother's home. "I'm not really sure how we ended up with our village fete theme," says Daisy. "I just wanted the day to be very British, very spring-like and vintage-inspired."

"I was really influenced by all the American wedding blogs, and loved the idea of a laid-back day, just a garden party with the people we love," explains Daisy. "We had hardly any budget either, so the other theme was what can we make/beg/borrow!"

"My brief for flowers was 'I want to look like I ran through a meadow and came out with a bouquet!" says Daisy. "Our florist a Pick-a-Lily in Norwich was the first one not to look as me like I was bonkers!"

The flower displays on the tables had a similarly romantic look, and were displayed in jugs and jam jars to create a rustic feel.

As well as their traditional cake, they had lots of homemade desserts and a buffet for guests to enjoy on the day, which fitted in perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere they wanted to create.

Daisy wore a beautiful La Sposa dress from La Creme in Norwich. "As soon as I put it on I knew the search was over!" says Daisy. "One of my favourite things about my look was my vintage-style hair by Flamingo Amy – it was exactly how I wanted it to look!"

Daisy's bridesmaids wore elegant floor-length navy bridesmaid dresses, which she found for them in Coast. "I let them style them how they liked," she adds.
