"The team at Dottie Creations came up with a very individual paisley design for our stationery," explains Kay. "They designed it to fit our colour scheme and produced beautiful order of the day cards on lollipop sticks, place cards and table name cards."

"We set the tone for the look with our cake – a four-tier creation decorated with a lime green 'magic carpet' design," adds Kay. "It was made for us by The Cake Parlour and all the tiers had different flavours of vanilla and raspberry, chocolate and banana, and passion fruit."

It was really important to Kay and Nima that they included elements of Nima's Persian heritage in their day, so they had a traditional Persian blessing and Sofreh Aqd (a table spread with symbolic items).

One of the couple's best decisions was to hire wedding planner Kelly Chandler to help them bring their dream day to life. "As we're based in Kuwait we relied on her to find all our suppliers," says Kaye. "She made amazing recommendations and really helped us to create a modern, colourful fusion wedding with bags of personality!"
