What began as an office romance blossomed into a beautiful relationship and was then sealed by a picnic proposal 4 years later when Joseph asked Aldine to marry him!
The couple wanted to include elements of Aldine's Filipino background and decided to hold the ceremony in their local Catholic church, and a traditional Filipino cord ceremony formed part of the mass. The reception was held in the Olde Bell in Hurley (www.theoldebell.co.uk), picked for its rustic charm which lent itself to the vibrant yellow colour scheme with a 50s twist the couple had chosen.
Aldine continued the 50s theme with her pretty, prom-style dress by Emily Fox for Berketex (www.berketexbride.com), after falling in love with the cute retro styling.
Aldine's bridesmaids wore yellow dresses that fitted in perfectly with her modern pomander of avalanche roses, lemon cupcake tower and cool, contemporary stationery.
The couple gave their guests lollipops as favours, and also added a personal touch by including a fun fact about the people sat either side of each guest to spark conversation.
Aldine and Joseph's amazing day was shot by photographer Anthony Prestidge (aepweddings.co.uk), who did a fabulous job of capturing the couple's vibrant theme and retro-inspired details.
The couple made lots of their big day details, including these cute candle holders! They also display gypsophila and marguerites in The Olde Bell’s own brushed steel tankards.
Aldine loved her pomander of bright yellow roses – especially as it left her hands free to greet all her guests with a hug! The bridesmaids had simple elegant wrist corsages and the groomsmen’s corsages were bright single gerberas.
