A landmark 18th century building in the historic town of Belper, The Lion is brimming with character. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies and with 22 bedrooms, a modern British pub, and a secluded courtyard, you’ll find everything you need for your big day on site.

The Lion Pub with Rooms provide a tailor-made service and when booking an event the team will work closely with you to ensure every detail is taken care of. From a vintage afternoon tea party to a gourmet tasting menu, the possibilities are endless and your day can be as simple or lavish as you like.

The prize
Our winner will enjoy civil ceremony room and venue hire; a reception drink of bucks fizz for 40 guests; a three course wedding breakfast for 40 guests (including a glass of wine); a glass of sparkling wine for the speeches; a dedicated events coordinator and overnight accommodation at the venue for the bride and groom.
 

Terms & Conditions
The prize is based on 40 guests, but extra guests are welcome at an additional cost of £30 per person. The prize is as stated above and cannot be changed in any way. The prize must be taken by 30th June 2013. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. The prize is subject to an available date as agreed with The Lion. The prize is subject to availability and non-transferrable. It cannot be exchanged and no cash alternative will be offered. The winner of the competition will be drawn at random, by an independent party, from all the correct entries received by the closing date (30/06/12). Limited to one entry per person. No responsibility will be taken for lost, delayed or non-transmitted entries. A list of winners’ names is available on request. The Editor’s decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into. Employees of Immediate Media Company Origin Ltd and contributing companies are not allowed to enter.
